Last Monday, October 18th, at 7.30 PM we gathered to watch the Spanish film “Perfectos desconocidos” (Perfect Strangers), directed by Álex de la Iglesia. In this story, a group of seven friends gets together for dinner, and they decide to play a game: they must share with the whole group every message and call that their cell phones receive during the evening. It was a lovely and fun evening: we drank wine, had some nibbles and enjoyed a movie that made us laugh out loud more than once.
And the most important thing: we got to practise Spanish! Although at the beginning it was kind of difficult for us to get used to the speed of speech of the characters, getting hooked with the story really helped us to get into the language.
Towards the end of the movie, almost everyone present was following each of the lines without any problems. After the movie ended, we had a very entertaining debate (in Spanish, of course) about privacy and cellphones. ¡Una maravilla!
